The precise scope of any service will depend on the individual project and will be agreed with the client before work begins.

We will not knowingly undertake work outside the scope, competence or resources appropriate to the service being provided.

5. Client information

The quality and suitability of construction planning and documentation depends partly on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided to us.

Clients and project parties are responsible for providing relevant and reasonably accurate information, including drawings, specifications, site information, programme information, equipment details and other information required for the agreed scope.

Where important information is unavailable or uncertain, we may identify this as an assumption, limitation or matter requiring confirmation.

6. Construction and site decisions

Our services are intended to support construction planning, coordination and decision-making.

They do not remove the responsibilities of clients, contractors, employers, designers, appointed persons, lifting teams, site managers or other duty holders under applicable legislation, contracts or project arrangements.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, ALIGN does not assume responsibility for the overall management, control or supervision of a project or site.

7. Lift planning

Where ALIGN provides lift planning or related documentation, the exact scope and level of responsibility will be agreed for the individual project.

A lift plan or lifting document does not, by itself, replace the responsibilities of the relevant lifting team, Appointed Person, Crane Supervisor, lift supervisor, operator, contractor or other duty holder where such roles or responsibilities apply.

The client and relevant project parties remain responsible for ensuring that the lifting operation is properly managed and carried out by competent persons in accordance with applicable requirements.

8. RAMS and methodologies

RAMS and methodologies prepared by ALIGN are developed for the specific scope and information available at the time of preparation.

They should be reviewed and approved through the project's own management arrangements before work begins.

Where site conditions, design information, equipment, sequence, personnel or other relevant circumstances change, the documentation may need to be reviewed or revised.

9. Changes and variations

If the scope of work changes after an appointment has been agreed, additional work may be subject to a revised fee or separate quotation.

We will aim to discuss significant changes with the client before carrying out additional chargeable work.

10. Fees and payment

Fees, payment terms and any applicable expenses will be set out in the relevant quotation, proposal or agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.

11. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, documents, methodologies, templates and other materials produced by ALIGN remain the intellectual property of ALIGN to the extent permitted by law.

Once agreed fees have been paid, the client may use project-specific documents for the project for which they were prepared.

They must not be reproduced, resold, distributed or adapted for unrelated projects without our written permission.

12. Confidentiality

We will treat confidential project and business information provided to us as confidential and will take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised disclosure.

This does not prevent disclosure where required by law, regulation, professional advisers or legitimate project requirements.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external websites.

14. Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from technical errors.
