About ALIGN

ALIGN Site Solutions was created from a simple belief:

Good construction begins with clarity.

10+ years in UK Construction Industry

Built from experience
Driven by clarity

Behind ALIGN is Radu Marcu, a civil engineer and construction professional with experience across high-rise construction, façade installation, lifting operations and site management.

His career in UK construction began on site in 2014. One of his mentors once told him:

“To fully understand a job, you need to do it hands-on.”

That stayed with him.

Rather than trying to move straight into management, he built his experience from the ground up, learning the work by doing it, understanding the challenges faced by the people carrying it out, and gradually taking on greater responsibility.

He started from the bottom and worked his way up.

From the site to the plan

Working in high-rise façade installation gave him a practical understanding of installation, lifting, access, sequencing and the realities of working on live construction sites.

Moving into lifting operations supervision expanded that experience into lifting planning, risk assessment, coordination and supervision.

Site management brought a wider perspective, people, materials, programmes, logistics, documentation, subcontractors and the many moving parts that have to come together to deliver a project.

Planning became an increasingly important part of that journey.

The result is an approach that combines engineering knowledge, planning experience and a practical understanding of what actually happens on site.

Engineering knowledge
Site experience

Radu holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering.

Engineering education provided the theory.

Years spent on construction sites taught him how that theory meets reality.

A solution can look right on paper and still be difficult to deliver on site. Good planning needs to consider both.

At ALIGN, we look at two simple questions:

What does the information tell us?

And how will this actually work on site?

Why ALIGN?

Construction is complex.

There are drawings, programmes, specifications, regulations, logistics, lifting operations, subcontractors, interfaces and constantly changing site conditions.

It's easy to add more information.

The harder part is making sense of it.

ALIGN was created to help with that.

The aim isn't to make construction more complicated or to pretend that every problem has a simple answer.

It's to understand the situation properly, ask the right questions and help find a practical way forward.

Sometimes that means creating a methodology.

Sometimes it's a lift plan or RAMS.

Sometimes it's coordinating different parts of a project.

And sometimes it's simply looking at a problem from another angle.

How we work

We don't claim to know everything.

Experience has taught us that the more you learn, the more important it becomes to ask the right questions.

We listen before making assumptions.

We look beyond the obvious.

We consider the actual conditions on site.

And we aim to create solutions that people can understand, use and stand behind.

This is the foundation of The ALIGN Way:

Understand.

Reveal.

Design.

Align.

Support.

Evolve.

Looking ahead

ALIGN is starting simply.

The intention is to build something that grows through experience, relationships and knowledge, without losing the practical values it was built on.

It's about becoming a company people can trust — one that contributes something useful to every project and every relationship along the way.

Every project should leave something behind.

A better understanding.

A better process.

A useful lesson.

A clearer way forward.

Leave every project clearer than we found it.
